A500 Music ......Bringing great live music to The Potteries

Carter Sampson

with Jesse Aycock and Lauren Barth

Fulford Village Hall

Sunday 13th May 2018

May 13th 2018 was to be the day that Americana truly arrived in Fulford when 'Queen of Oklahoma', Carter Sampson, blew in from USA's 46th state, along with fellow 'Okies' Jesse Aycock and Lauren Barth.

Carter had already built a strong fan base in the UK following several tours and appearances at Kilkenny and Glastonbury festivals, so it was no surprise that people had travelled some considerable distances to be with us on this pleasant spring evening.

Carter Sampson Opening the show for Carter Sampson, Jesse and Lauren entertained us with some of their own material, demonstrating why they are so highly regarded, both in their home state and the rest of the US, as solo artists in their own right as well as performing as a successful duo.

Following the break, Carter took to the stage solo, opening her set with the title from her upcoming CD 'Lucky' followed by what has become her anthem 'Queen of Oklahoma'.
Barth and Aycock then returned to accompany Carter for the remainder of the show.

Lauren's guitar and vocal harmonies, as well as Jesse's voice and Dobro wizardry, helped to make this a very special performance.

Taking us on a fantastic journey through her catalogue of songs, Sampson captivated us all with her music and in-between each number she painted a picture of life back home with great humour and personal charm.

Thank you Carter, this was an amazing evening.
